This is a column entry from my series “The Records I Couldn’t Let Go”, posted under the hashtag #捨てレコ.
Staying in Kyoto around late April? Don’t miss out—MOVE (our event venue) is actually super easy to get to from Kyoto Station.
Join us on April 28 for an unforgettable night of house music, just outside the city.
On April 28, I’ll be joining the house music event “Public Address”. Honestly, I doubt many people at the venue will know who I am. (Still, huge thanks to TNTK for booking me—even though we haven’t seen each other in a while.)

[Announcement] It’s been a while, but I’m back with an event! And this time—it’s all about house music!
I’ll be playing at MOVE in Zeze, where I’ve had the honor of performing as a house DJ before.
It’s happening on Monday, April 28, the day before a national holiday.
The lineup is packed with DJs I truly admire, and I’m especially excited that K-SUKE, the owner of MOVE, will be joining us!
Come join us for a great night—can’t wait to see you there!

Below is the text
I’ve been checking out the DJs I’ll be playing alongside, and they’re all amazing artists full of passion for house music. It’s honestly a bit intimidating, but I’m truly honored to share the night with them.
Since most people will be thinking “Who’s this guy?”, I created a short DJ mix as a self-introduction, and uploaded it to Mixcloud early in the morning. It’s 24 minutes, 8 tracks—shorter than most DJ sets, so it goes by quickly.
You can listen during your commute, a walk, or just chilling at home:

2. One & Done / Chum
3. Crackazat / Eye Light (Original Mix)
4. Darby / Everything
5. 小松未歩 / 謎(tonya_harding remix)
6. CamaCon / Hyperborea
7. Doja Cat / Paint The Town Red (NAKEN EDIT)
8. Bev Lee Harling / Beautiful Life (Aroop Roy Remixes)
This mix was recorded with the fellow DJs at this event in mind. Of course, anyone is more than welcome to listen. To be honest, it’s been a long time since I made a house-only DJ mix—it felt fresh, exciting, and reminded me why I love this music. I’m looking forward to refining the flow even more in the future.
I had taken a long break from music and DJing. Right now, it feels like I’m starting over from almost zero. Hardly anyone knows about Rehabilitation or tonya_harding anymore—not in the scene, not on social media.
And that’s okay. In fact, that’s why I’m offering this mix with the spirit of “Nice to meet you.”
How things go on the actual night—whether smooth and steady or chaotic and raw—that’s up to fate.
I live in Tokyo, and I don’t often get the chance to travel to Shiga or Kyoto.
But on the night of April 28, I truly want to enjoy the music together with everyone there.
I’m heading into this with the feeling that we are friends and companions creating a great night together.
To those ahead of me, to those of my generation, to those younger—I sincerely hope we can connect through sound.
If this piques your curiosity even a little, I’d be honored if you listened to this mix or to Rehabilitation’s music.
